Why is Ashley Dupre front cover story?

Why, oh why did the NY Post feel that Ashley Dupre was worthy of a front page story?  With everything that is going on in this city and the world right now this is the best the Post could come up with for a front page story, that is sad!!!

The instant celebrity status of Ashley because of her tryst with disgraced  governor Spitzer is a sad reality of how shallow society has become. Since when is being a high price call girl something to emulate and glorify?  It is for this reason that so many young women feel that looks are the only thing that can get them anywhere and that to become instant stars and celebrities this is what they have to subject themselves to.

The demise of Elliot Spitzer's political career by his stupidity and arrogance was of course news worthy.  That was last years news though... If he foolishly wants to run for office again then fine that's his god given right, but that is not front page news.  Ashley's mother, Carolyn Capalbo, comment in the Post yesterday "Only in America" in regards to the possibility of Spitzer running for public office.. You're right Carolyn, Only in America can you become an over night success for prostitution, Only in America do you get notice for for illegal and illicit activities, Only in America do they glorify things that were once shunned and individuals would have been too embarrassed to show their faces in public. Your daughter chose to become a high price call girl! No one forced her.. Why were you not on tv, the radio, or in the newspaper chastising your daughter's choice of employment, or telling other young women this is not the path to follow.  Your daughter is no angel here either!!!!! 

You state she is having a hard time getting back on her feet and that she didn't capitalize on the scandal especially by posing naked, OH WOW!!!!!! Your daughters actions and all the publicity they gave her set young women back so far.  Concentrate less on making remarks about Spitzer and work more on helping your daughter and other young women realize this is not the option they should choose and help them learn that using their mind can get them just as far as using their body!!!!!

Enough already of Ashley Dupre. She is not news worthy especially the front page, but then again it was the NY Post, what can I say.
